Funding for preliminary small-scale studies and investigations that could provide a springboard for promising projects is often in short supply. This is why the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences, under SATW’s lead, are providing up to 25,000 Swiss francs in funding for innovative kick-off projects.

Funding will be provided for innovative implementation projects in the following main areas. Framework conditions, sustainability, quality and safety, traceability and consumer interest will be considered.

  • Technologies for hybrid products of different protein sources
  • Precision biotechnology / biotransformation
  • Digital transformation of the food system
  • Precision agriculture
