SME cyber security 2025: IT security in Swiss SMEs and IT service providers

The SME Cybersecurity 2025 study analyses how well prepared small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and IT service providers in Switzerland are for cyber risks. The results show: The sense of security and cyber resilience are decreasing - only 42% of SMEs feel well protected. At the same time, cyber security is becoming less of a priority in many companies, while organisational protective measures such as training or emergency plans are often lacking.

Nevertheless, 88% of respondents recognise cybercrime as a serious threat, and IT service providers expect demand for security solutions to increase. The study clearly shows that Swiss SMEs need to put cyber security back at the centre of their digital strategy.
