Art and technology are sisters. This is reflected in their names: Both terms go back to the ancient Greek word "téchné", which means "craft". For a long time, hardly any distinction was made between the two fields. The "artist" Leonardo da Vinci, for example, was both: an engineer who invented complicated machines and a gifted draughtsman, painter and sculptor.
