Learning to code through play: SATW sponsors Python course for young people

As part of its professional development programme, SATW member company JETZ Youth Technology Lab has developed a new taster course that introduces young people to professional programming. The offer is now part of the holiday programme.

The "Coding with Python from the age of 12" course is aimed at young people who ideally already have experience with block-based languages such as Scratch. You will learn about basic programming principles such as command sequences, loops and conditions and apply these in practice when developing a small game.

The taster course is offered by the SATW member organisation JETZ. It was supported as part of the SATW's specialised funding. The SATW supports projects of its member societies every year with its specialised funding.
