The last TecDay of the year took place on 28 November at the Hohe Promenade cantonal school in Zurich.

Students experiment in a classroom during TecDay and laugh.

Around 70 experts from 32 different organisations offered the 800 or so pupils a passionate and committed insight into their research and work, not only in theory but also in practice: in 55 different modules, they tinkered, programmed, tinkered, designed, experimented, discussed and presented. The topics ranged from earthquake research, biomineralisation and aerogels to robotics, AI and app design, electrical engineering, aviation and bone fractures.

87% of the students found the TecDay good to excellent, more than half were positively surprised and found the day better than expected and around a quarter found the TecDay helpful for their choice of subject or degree programme.
