Internationaler Tag der Frauen und Mädchen der Wissenschaft
Wie können wir junge Menschen, vor allem Mädchen, dazu motivieren, in die Welt von Wissenschaft und Technik einzusteigen? Das wäre ein gutes Mittel gegen den Fachkräftemangel. Die SATW nimmt den Internationalen Tag der Frauen und Mädchen in der Wissenschaft zum Anlass und hat Frauen gefragt, warum Frauen unbedingt in diese Welt einsteigen müssen.

We often say that we need more women in science because they bring a diversity of points of view, that science should be inclusive of all genders and their different sensibilities, practices and life experiences. I work in trying to make computers understand and produce language, computers that can speak and reason in many languages. We need more women in science because women are an integral part of society and they proved that their intelligence level is the same as that of men. Women have a special brain structure that makes their way of thinking unique. Women must feel their freedom and need for science, even if it is literature or astrophysics.
In my opinion, the only thing that will help a woman or a girl increase the chance to be engaged in scientific activities is to believe in yourself. If our society changes the traditional roles of men and women, then the chance of women's success in science will increase significantly.
