Scientific Advisory Board
The Scientific Advisory Board supports the Executive Committee in devising the strategy and advises it in terms of scientific policy. Its main task is the early detection of major social-political problems following on from scientific-technological developments. Personalities who carry out or have carried out a scientific activity in a professional capacity may be elected to become members of the Scientific Advisory Board.

Industrial Advisory Board
The Industrial Advisory Board supports the Executive Committee in devising the strategy and advises it in terms of industrial policy. Its main task is the early detection of major economic problems following on from technological developments. Personalities who hold or have held a leadership position in an industrial company relevant to Switzerland may be elected to become members of the Industrial Advisory Board.

Topical platforms
The Topical Platforms analyse the scientific-technical scene from the perspective of their domain and see which future developments will turn out to be crucial for science, the economy and society in Switzerland. The Topical Platforms report to the Scientific Advisory Board once a year.

Project Board
Projects are activities that have a specific goal, are limited in time, are carried out in the name of the SATW and are approved by the Project Board. The Project Board is the SATW’s counterpart with regard to quality control. It determines the assessment criteria for the projects in consultation with the Executive Committee. It assesses applications for projects and adopts a position with regard to ongoing projects and completed projects for the attention of the Executive Committee.

Nomination Committee
The Nomination Committee is responsible for the procedure to elect individual members as laid down in the Nomination Regulations. It gathers information on the application proposals and puts forward a selection of these applications for the attention of those who are entitled to vote in accordance with Article 6 para. 3 of the Articles of Association. Proposals for applications may only be made by persons who have a right to vote in the General Meeting. While they are on the Nomination Committee, members of the committee may neither submit nor support applications.
