Fuel crisis and Urban mobility. Denying hard truth?
Abstract
Peak Oil will happen shortly, in historic terms, i.e. in less than 20 years. That is when your daughter wants to buy and drive a car. Leaves the question how to fuel it. Or put forward more broadly: what and how much mobility can we deliver and buy in times of crisis, during a few months. A short answer: enough to keep the society and the economy going. But not enough to fulfill car-dreams. And, scarcity is looming in the long run, putting business as usual at threat. But also: Can we negotiate the inherent challenges. Getting fitter or fatter is the question.
